"I have been a customer of Mill Volvo Sunderland for many years now having bought several cars, all of which have been serviced through that garage. I have done so because of the quality and reliability of Volvo, but in honesty, mainly because of the excellent service I have received over the years I have just benefited from a level of service which has really surpassed all to date, from Glenn Abnett, Service Manager.
Over the last couple of years I have traveled many miles in my reliable (now 3 year old) Volvo V40 R Design car taking my son to football matches every week up and down the country. I'd noticed initially that a 0.5 litre oil top up warning light appeared. I phoned Glenn and he said it was easy to over-fill the engine with oil so recommended that I called down to the garage. He topped up the oil without charge. This happened about 5 times over a six month period. My car's warranty expires at the end of January 2020 (today), and without any knowledge or prompting from me, Glenn had been keeping a record of how much oil had been used, and the mileage done between visits. He reported the issue to Volvo and I received a phone call from Glenn on 21st January when he told me that Volvo had sanctioned a replacement engine to be installed in my car, free of charge. The work has been completed this week, and my car returned to me yesterday.
I am well used to the principle of excellent service in business - I still work with ultra high net worth clients being a 'retired' Private Bank Manager from Coutts & Co. Never have I experienced a level of service so good as that offered by Glenn in particular, but the service team as a whole at Mill Volvo Sunderland. If Glenn hadn't been pro-active in this regard, I would have been left with a car out of warranty needing a new engine with the cost falling on my own shoulders.
I feel that Glenn's exceptionally good service deserves recognition by Stoneacre, Mill Volvo and Volvo. My experience has strengthened my relationship with the garage and reinforced customer loyalty, and as a result of his actions I have become an active ambassador for an excellent team."

T3 R-Design Automatic - what a car! Powerful, responsive with excellent handling. Does anything the equivalent German hatchback does but without the stigma of bad driving reputation. A petrol 152bhp engine so never going to be the best mpg but really does not matter, makes me smile every time I start it. I think I may be stuck on Volvo for life."
